Post Graduate Seminar in Family Emotional Process, Clergy Track IThis program was begun by the late Dr. Edwin H. Friedman in 1988. As Dr. Friedman's faculty, we are continuing the program. The focus of the seminar is on the three emotional systems: the clergy's family of origin, the parishioner or congregation family and the congregation, itself, as an emotional system. The days will be divided into theoretical and clinical presentations, videotapes, including videotapes of Dr. Friedman and clinical consultation. Small group consultation for the clergy's family of origin will occur on one afternoon, and for the parishioner family and congregation system on the other afternoons. Three Times A Year Program (Professional Track I)This program promotes the learning and application of Bowen Theory and the leadership concepts of Dr. Edwin Friedman to families and other social systems. The overall aim is to teach a way of conceptualizing emotional phenomena rather than merely learning techniques. Particiants include mental health professionals, educators, attorneys, business professionals, health care professionals, clergy, and other creative thinkers. Registration Deadline - June 15, 2012
Professional Program Track IIThis program is an opportunity for participants who wish to continue in furthering and deeping their understanding of Bowen Theory and Ed Friedman leadership concepts and the application of the theory to family of origin, clinical cases, and work systems. Theory DayInitially began by Ed Friedman in the early 80's this three hour monthly series is for professionals who are commited to putting system thinking to work in their lives. The format ranges from theory lectures, clinical, organizational, and family of origin case presentations, guest speakers and video tapes.
